Lately, this lotto game was joined by the Estonia lottery - Eesti Loto, bringing the number of participating countries to six. However, Latvia and Lithuania recently joined the popular Viking Lotto, so right now, all the Nordic-Baltic countries participate!.
The citizens of Finland alone spend more than €100 million per year playing Viking Lotto. Of course, Viking Lotto cannot beat the big popularity of the biggest European lotteries that include Euromillions, Eurojackpot and an Italian lottery star called Superenalotto. The Viking Lotto is a traditional draw-style, lotto jackpot game. It uses what is so-called a matrix of 6/48 which means that when playing with the Viking Lotto, you will need to select six unique numbers out of a pool of lottery balls numbered from 1 to 48. Viking Lotto basics

When filling out a viking lotto form, you need to select 6 numbers from the range of numbers, from 1 to 48.
During the draw, six main numbers are drawn from the collection of 48 unique lotto balls. You are going to win the first prize (jackpot), when you hit six main numbers, correctly. After the six main numbers have been drawn, a Lucky Number (Bonus Number) is drawn from the remaining 42 numbers. This bonus number is used to determine the second category prize only, with the exception of Sweden (Svenskaspel) and Estonia (Eesti Loto). Viking Lotto draws are held every Wednesday evening 20:25 (8:25pm) and take place at Norsk Tipping in Hamar, Norway. The lotto results are broadcast on radio and television in all of the member countries.
