German Lotto Basic Information
When playing German Lotto, you need to select 6 numbers out of a range of numbers from 1 to 49 and an extra number, called Bonus number, out of a range of numbers from 1 to 10.
Germany's Lotto draws are held twice a week, on Wednesdays 18:50 (6:50pm) and Saturdays 21:45 (9:45pm).
Firstly, the 6 main numbers are drawn. Then, a Super Number and an Additional Number is drawn. The Super Number is used only for the Jackpot type of prize. The Additional Number is used for prizes levels of 3,5 and 7. To win Germany Lotto jackpot, you need to match 6 of the main numbers plus the Super Number.
Another notable difference between the German Lotto games and the 6 from 49 lotto games played in other countries is that there are, in most cases, more prize levels. A typical game has eight prize levels (each one referred to as a Class), as follows :
